
Six teams of firefighters mobilized for fire in Moldovan capital
Six teams of firefighters today evening urgently intervened to extinguish a fire that broke out at a cafe in Chisinau, which also affected a nearby barbershop.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the press officer of General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), Liliana Puscasu, said that at 19:02, the 112 Service had been alerted about a fire that broke out in the Ciocana sector of the Chisinau municipality.
The intervention teams found that the flames fully engulfed the cafe, extending to the barbershop in the immediate vicinity.
According to the quoted source, to manage the situation, IGSU organized three battle sectors. The intervention is ongoing and firefighters continue the extinguishing efforts.
The causes and circumstances of the fire outbreak are to be determined later.
