
Moldovan PM meets European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy in Brussels
Prime Minister Dorin Recean and European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas have had a discussion on the latest developments in the process of Moldova’s European integration.
The progress made by the country on the path to joining the European Union is set to be thoroughly reviewed today at the ninth meeting of Moldova – European Union Association Council, due to be chaired by the two officials. "The government's priority is for us to become member of the great European family as soon as possible. For us, this means peace, stability and a better future for our children at home," said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
For her part, Kaja Kallas reiterated the solid commitment to support the reform process in Moldova and the country's path to European integration. In this regard, the sides emphasized the impact of the Economic Growth Plan and the support provided through the European Peace Facility, which helps Moldova strengthen its security and defense institutions.
It is worth mentioning that European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas paid a working visit to Moldova in April 2025.
