Parliament passed law on mutual recognition of goods with EU
MPs voted today in the second reading a bill that transposes into national legislation the EU Regulation on the principle of mutual recognition of goods legally sold in member states.
The initiative, set up by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization aims to facilitate the free movement of products between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union.
According to the new provisions, national authorities will accept the declarations and allow free entry into the domestic market, except in cases where there are justified public interest reasons for restriction or limitation. The scope covers both industrial and agricultural products.
The law comes into force 12 months after its publication in the Official Journal.
