Deputy Prime Minister meets with Speaker of Israeli Knesset
Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi today had a meeting with Speaker of the Israeli Knesset (Parliament) Amir Ohana. The discussions focused on strengthening parliamentary and political relations between the Republic of Moldova and the State of Israel, emphasizing the importance of cooperation at the legislative level.
“We discussed the strengthening of political and parliamentary relations between our countries. The opening of the Israeli Embassy in Chisinau is an important step that strengthens the ties between the Republic of Moldova and the State of Israel,” said Mihai Popșoi.
Topics related to regional security, the European path of the Republic of Moldova, and prospects for collaboration in the fields of education, innovation, and combating antisemitism were also addressed.
On May 27–29, Popșoi is paying a working visit to the State of Israel. The agenda also includes participation in the Ministerial Conference on Combating Antisemitism—a high-level event bringing together officials and international experts engaged in preventing and combating antisemitism globally.
The visit also includes a meeting with representatives of the Moldovan community in Israel.
