During the official visit to the State of Israel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popșoi held a meeting with representatives of the Moldovan diaspora, organized at the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Tel Aviv.
The meeting focused on the challenges faced by Moldovan citizens residing or working in Israel, including: respect for workplace rights, access to social services and the need for concrete measures to strengthen their protection.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that Chișinău authorities are actively cooperating with Israeli counterparts to ensure decent working conditions and the protection of the fundamental rights of Moldovans in Israel. Additionally, the official announced that new bilateral agreements are being prepared, which will bring direct benefits to the Moldovan community.
Furthermore, the minister noted that institutions in the Republic of Moldova are closely monitoring the implementation of existing agreements, particularly in the labor sector, to ensure they are applied correctly and effectively.
Another important topic was the entry into force of the Agreement on the Mutual Recognition of Driving Licenses, considered a significant step for the integration and mobility of Moldovans in Israel.
