Moldovan President visited Azerbaijani carpet exhibition on Azerbaijan's Independence Day
President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu visited today along with Ambassador of Azerbaijan Ulvi Bakhshaliyev the Azerbaijani carpet exhibition organized at the National Museum of History, on this country's Independence Day.
The exhibition brings together traditional and modern carpets from various regions of Azerbaijan. Carpet art, a common element of Moldovan and Azerbaijani heritage, was evoked as a symbol of intercultural dialogue.
President Sandu reaffirmed the importance of bilateral relations between the two states, noting, in this context, the recent meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, held on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit in Tirana.
