Moldovan speaker after Leușeni searches
Speaker Igor Grosu delivered a stern message today to officials involved in acts of corruption, emphasizing that anti-corruption institutions will continue their mission.
He also addressed those still hoping to escape punishment for acts of corruption. “Once they might escape, maybe twice, but not for long!” Grosu concluded.
He said that CNA steps are correct and targeted against those “who think they are there for something other than ensuring state security at the border crossing.”
In the early hours of the current day, CNA officers raided Leușeni customs post. As a result, one person was detained, and five are under the CNA's scrutiny. Previously, the head of the Central Customs Office, Iurie Gorea, and the head of the Internal Customs Post Căușeni, Cristian Olărescu, were detained.
