Ambassador Jana Costachi presented credentials in Dublin

Jana Costachi was officially accredited as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Ireland, during a ceremony held at the Official Residence of President of Ireland, Áras an Uachtaráin. The ambassador presented the letters of accreditation signed by President Maia Sandu.

The President of Ireland conveyed a strong message of support for the European path of the Republic of Moldova, emphasizing that Ireland is a strategic partner and a constant supporter of our country's European aspirations. The official expressed deep appreciation for the valuable contribution of the Moldovan community to the prosperity and diversity of Irish society.

Ambassador Jana Costachi reiterated her commitment to contribute with all her skill, talent, and professional experience to strengthen Moldovan-Irish bilateral relations.

"It is an immense honor and responsibility to represent Moldova and its citizens in Ireland. I thank Her Excellency, President Maia Sandu, for the trust granted and the President of Ireland for the support offered in carrying out this mandate," declared the ambassador.

During the ceremony, Jana Costachi conveyed greetings and best wishes for health from President Maia Sandu to President Michael D. Higgins and the Irish people, highlighting Moldova's desire to intensify political, economic, and cultural cooperation with Ireland, as well as to continue supporting the Moldovan community established in this country.

By Decree signed by President Maia Sandu in March 2025, Jana Costachi was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Ireland.

Since 2021, Jana Costachi held the position of State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has over 15 years of experience and expertise at the international level in key areas such as ensuring fundamental human rights and freedoms, promoting equal opportunities, social dialogue, occupational and social policies, migration regulation, international migration flow management, public security.
