VIDEO // Fuel stocks replenished with new imports of petrol, diesel in Moldova

Moldova on July 28 imported approximately 400 tons of petrol and about 900 tons of diesel. Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu has unveiled information to this effect.

The imports were ensured through the Giurgiulesti International Free Port and the Leuseni customs post.

Additionally, the barge announced on July 27 docked on July 28 afternoon at the Giurgiulesti International Free Port and, starting at 22:00, unloading operations began. Thus, a volume of over 5,000 tons of diesel will soon reach the fuel products market of Moldova.

Minister Dorin Junghietu assured that the authorities were monitoring the situation, in order to ensure the constant supply of the market.

"We continue to closely monitor the situation and ensure the constant supply of the market, so that citizens and economic agents do not experience disruptions in fuel supply," said Dorin Junghietu.

The government on July 28 established a state of alert in the energy sector for a period of 30 days, in the context of regional developments and the conflict in the Middle East, which have led to increased prices for oil products. Prime Minister Vasile Tofan said that the decision was necessary, in order to manage the situation efficiently.
