A new bypass road for the Central sector of the Ialoveni city is in full construction. The works have reached the stage of applying the final layer of asphalt and local authorities estimate that the route will be put into operation by next October.
The new road will connect Grădinilor Street with Alexandru cel Bun Street and is one of the investments meant to reduce pressure on the city’s main arteries and improve road traffic.
“This is the first stage of the project. At the moment, we are applying the final wearing course. Next comes the construction and completion of the sidewalks, while the third stage provides for the installation of street lighting, which will be ensured by the Ialoveni City Hall. We aim that, by October, at the latest by the city’s patron saint day, the road will be fully commissioned,” said the mayor of Ialoveni, Sergiu Armasu.
The infrastructure project will be complemented by a new measure to increase traffic safety. At the intersection of Lebrealu Street with Alexandru cel Bun Street, a traffic light installation is to be built, an investment carried out by the local administration.
The project is financed by the government of Moldova, through the National Office for Regional and Local Development (ONDRL) and represents one of the major investments for the development of Ialoveni’s road infrastructure, aiming to improve urban connectivity, ease traffic in the city center and enhance mobility for residents.
