ARMENPRESS: Armenian and US officials discuss swift launch of TRIPP program

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received Aryeh Lightstone, Senior Advisor to the United States Special Envoy for Peace Missions, ARMENPRESS reports.

Konstantin Sokolov, President of the Trans-Caspian Enterprise Fund, also took part in the meeting.

According to a press release, the parties highlighted the significant developments and achievements recorded after the Washington Peace Summit of 8 August 2025. Emphasizing the importance of the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan for fully unlocking the region’s development potential, the officials also discussed possible measures to further strengthen peace.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the recent intensification of high-level reciprocal visits and concluded agreements, as well as with the concrete results achieved in developing the comprehensive strategic partnership between Armenia and the United States. These advances were also facilitated by the implementation of the three memoranda signed in Washington on 8 August 2025.

Among the initiatives discussed, the officials highlighted the rapid development of cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence and the launch of the first phase of the data center built within the Firebird AI megaproject.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Aryeh Lightstone also reviewed opportunities and programs for expanding trade and economic cooperation, as well as measures aimed at strengthening Armenia’s economic and energy resilience.

The meeting featured detailed discussions on promoting regional connectivity and leveraging competitive advantages in this area. The parties addressed ongoing efforts to implement the TRIPP program, underscoring their shared interest in putting it into practice on the ground as soon as possible.

The officials also exchanged views on prospects for more effectively integrating Armenia into international transport and infrastructure systems.

Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
