Over 20 companies from Moldova present products in Baia Mare, Romania

Over 20 companies from Moldova on September 18-20 are participating in the fifth edition of the MOLDOVA PRESENTS exhibition in Baia Mare, Maramures County, Romania. The event is being held at the “Lascăr Pană” Multipurpose Sports Hall, as part of the Chestnut Festival, MOLDPRES reports.

The exhibition officially opened today and the participating companies are presenting the public in Maramures with local products and brands from more fields.

According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova (CCI), the exhibitors’ offerings include food products, such as hard cheeses, other cheeses, pastries, bee products, wines, dried fruits, sweets and cold-pressed oils, as well as essential oils, natural creams, jewelry, textiles and handicrafts.

“In 2026, we mark 10 years since we launched the Moldova Presents project in Romania. What does it showcase? We all know—everything our country has best to offer: food products—hard cheeses, other cheeses, pastries, bee products, wines, dried fruits, sweets and cold-pressed oils; essential oils, natural creams, jewelry, as well as textiles, handicrafts and much more,” said Viorica Cazacu, head of the Business Events, Fairs and Exhibitions Department of Moldova’s CCI.

“Dear residents of Maramures, until September 20, more than 20 companies of Moldova will be exhibiting their products. We invite you to meet them, and even reconnect with some of them, as they are already participating in the fifth edition,” Viorica Cazacu told local residents.

The MOLDOVA PRESENTS exhibition project was launched in Iasi in 2016i, with the aim of promoting products and producers from of Moldova on the Romanian market and creating opportunities for interaction with the public and the business community of Romania.

During the ten years since its launch, the project has been organized in more Romanian cities, including Iasi, Brasov, Ploiesti, Vaslui and Cluj-Napoca, becoming a platform for promoting local products and developing economic relations between the two countries.

The Baia Mare edition is taking place as part of the Chestnut Festival, a traditional event in the city, giving Moldovan companies the opportunity to present their products to a large audience and interact with potential partners and customers.

The event is organized with the support of the Maramures Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) and the Maramures County Council.
