BTA: President Iotova Meets French President Macron at Munich Security Conference
President Iliana Iotova held talks with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the 62nd Munich Security Conference, the Bulgarian head of State's press secretariat reported here on Saturday. Iotova attended Macron’s address to the high-level forum, which focused on the need for Europe to restore its strong position both internally and globally.
More than 50 heads of state and government from around the world are taking part in the Munich Security Conference, discussing key foreign policy and security issues.
During the conference, Iotova also met with President of the European Council Antonio Costa. Their talks focused on the enlargement of the European Union to include the countries of the Western Balkans.
