Speaker about Satoshi’s Eurovision performance
Speaker Igor Grosu today sent a congratulatory message to performer Satoshi for his performance in the Eurovision 2026 final. The official emphasized that the performer “united an entire country around him”.
The Speaker thanked the artist for the dignified representation of our country.
“Congratulations, Satoshi and team, for a superb performance and a dignified representation of our country at Eurovision! You united an entire country around you! You sang Moldova’s name in front of hundreds of thousands of people! You brought joy and emotion to Moldovans and made an entire Europe sing ‘Moldova is on duty’! You have all our admiration! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”, said Grosu.
The Republic of Moldova, represented by Satoshi with the song “Viva, Moldova!”, ranked eighth at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. The victory was claimed by Bulgaria. The country’s representative, DARA, triumphed with the song “Bangaranga”, scoring 516 points and overtaking Israel in the final ranking. Israel placed second with the song “Michelle”. Romania, represented by Alexandra Căpitănescu with the song “Choke Me”, finished in third place.
