A new university education fair took place in Orhei. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) as part of the national campaign “Study in Moldova” and was dedicated to future high school graduates from the districts of Strășeni, Dubăsari, Criuleni, and Orhei.

Present at the event, Galina Rusu, Secretary General at the MEC, emphasized the importance of promoting the study opportunities offered by universities in the Republic of Moldova and encouraged young people to continue their studies at home.

“Today you are facing choices that can define your professional future. The universities of the Republic of Moldova are coming forward with a modern and diverse educational offer aligned with European standards, supported by significant investments in infrastructure and study conditions. In recent years, new programs have been developed, tailored to the current needs of the labor market, and the state supports young people through study and merit scholarships, as well as increased incentives for priority fields such as pedagogy and STEM,” noted Galina Rusu.

During the fair, students had the opportunity to talk to university representatives about higher education programs, admission requirements, and career prospects. They also took part in career guidance workshops, inspirational sessions, and masterclasses delivered by specialists from various fields.

The event also featured a musical performance by singer Marej. In addition, young people had the opportunity to activate or update their mobile signature, which gives them access to the eadmitere.gov.md portal for submitting university admission applications online. The E-Governance Agency provided support to participants in using the electronic signature, installing the EVO application, and accessing digital public services.

On the same day, a similar education fair was held in Ungheni, bringing together final-year high school students from the districts of Călărași, Nisporeni, Fălești, Glodeni, and Telenești.

As part of the “Study in Moldova” campaign, such events have been held in eight districts of the country, attended by thousands of high school graduates. Through this campaign, young people are informed about the study opportunities offered by universities in the country and are encouraged to continue their education at home.
