President of Estonia after meeting with Moldovan President: Moldova belongs to Europe. We greatly appreciate your progress on this path
The Republic of Moldova belongs to Europe, and Estonia firmly supports this path. We greatly appreciate that you are advancing on this path. The message was conveyed today by President of Estonia Alar Karis, following a meeting with President Maia Sandu in Tallinn.
The Estonian official emphasized that the meeting focused on regional security and Russia’s hybrid attacks.
“I appreciate the Republic of Moldova for advancing firmly on the path of accession to the European Union. Today, we discussed regional security, Russia’s hybrid actions, as well as how Estonia can continue to support Moldova,” said Alar Karis.
Today Maia Sandu is paying a working visit to Tallinn at the invitation of her Estonian counterpart, Alar Karis. The visit aims to deepen bilateral cooperation, with an emphasis on regional security and the Republic of Moldova’s accession process to the European Union.
The visit’s agenda includes meetings with Prime Minister Kristen Michal, the Speaker of Parliament, Lauri Hussar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Margus Tsahkna, and the Chair of the Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Marko Mihkelson.
The President will also take part in Lennart Meri conference, an annual event in Tallinn dedicated to foreign and security policy.
