1 June – World Children's Day celebrated at State Residence in Condrița
On World Children's Day, President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu sent a congratulatory message to all children. “Happy Children's Day, dear kids! May you have a happy childhood, alongside your parents and grandparents! We, the adults, will ensure that the skies above you remain clear,” declared the head of state.
To mark this special day, the Government of the Republic of Moldova is organizing a series of themed activities at the State Residence in Condrița. Starting at 11:00, children and their families can participate in fun activities, games, surprises, and artistic moments designed to bring joy and cheer to the little ones.
The full schedule of activities can be found here.
World Children's Day is celebrated annually on 1 June in over 50 countries worldwide. It was established in 1950 at the initiative of the Women's International Democratic Federation to draw attention to children's rights to protection, education, health, and well-being. In the Republic of Moldova, 1 June is dedicated to educational and recreational activities for children and serves as an opportunity to reaffirm society's commitment to respecting and promoting children's rights.
