Emergency Situations Commission takes preventive measures, establishes early warning in natural gas sector
Chisinau, August 8 /MOLDPRES/- Given the information presented by the Ministry of Energy on the potential risk of natural gas supply interruption, as a result of military actions in the area of the cross-border interconnection point between the Russian Federation and Ukraine (Sudja), the Commission for Emergency Situations decided to take preventive measures to ensure country's energy security, the government's communication department has reported.
Commission members found that there are currently no outages or risks of immediate outages. Setting up the alert will give the responsible institutions the necessary leverage for close monitoring and rapid intervention, if needed.
