New school furniture for Mihai Eminescu high school in Corjova
Mihai Eminescu theoretical high school in Corjova village, Dubăsari district received a new set of school furniture for the classrooms.
The donation was provided as part of a pilot project initiated and funded by the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova (DRRM), carried out in partnership with the Bureau for Reintegration Policies and the Ministry of Education and Research. The project is part of DRRM's commitment, and of the Romanian Government to support access to quality education for current and future generations in the Republic of Moldova.
Present at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Valeriu Chiveri thanked DRRM and the Government of Romania for the constant contribution to supporting the Romanian language educational process in the eastern districts of the country. The Deputy Prime Minister appreciated the determination, courage, and professionalism of the teaching staff and highlighted the essential role of the high school in maintaining and promoting the Romanian language on the left bank of the Dniester River.
Currently, 569 students are studying at the Theoretical High School 'Mihai Eminescu' in Corjova, guided by a teaching staff consisting of 60 teachers. Through its profile and activity, the institution remains an important pillar in the formation of young Romanian speakers in the region.
