Moldovan cabinet approves list of winners of National Prize 2022
Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved the list of personalities nominated as winners of the National Prize, the 2022 edition, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Thus, the laureates of this year are:
Ghenadii Korotcenkov – university professor, PhD in physical and mathematical sciences, chief scientific researcher – for fundamental contribution to the development of science and technologies, as well as for the promotion of Moldova’s image.
Valentin Celac – PhD in biology, lecturer, researcher, chief scientific researcher – for achievements in scientific researches, innovations and implementations;
Mircea Ciobanu – writer, literary critic, book editor, journalist – for Opera Omnia;
The band made up of Anatolie Lapicus – piano player, university professor, head of the piano department at the Music, Theatre and Fine Arts Academy, soloist of the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic, Master in Art, People’s Artist and Iurie Mahovici – pianist, university professor, soloist of the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic, Master in Art, People’s Artist – for 30 years of fruitful artistic activity and achievements which combined the inspiration, passion and professionalism, as well as for the promotion of Moldova’s image in the world;
Lidia Bojescu – popular craftswoman, founder of the handicraft centre with model title, Atelier Bojescu (Bojescu Workshop) – for efforts to save and perpetuate the tradition of sewing the popular costume and the handicraft art;
Valeriu Bogheanu – composer, musician, instrumentalist and producer – for abnegation and prodigious work in the culture field, contribution to the promotion of the moral and spiritual values and outstanding success in the professional activity;
Constantin Cheianu – writer, journalist, TV author and presenter – for Opera Omnia.
The laureates were nominated by secret vote at a 12 September meeting of the Commission for Awarding the National Prize. Just as each year, the winners will receive the government’s medal and diploma, as well as a money prize worth 100,000 lei.
