Moldovan PM sends congratulatory message to new Romanian premier on swearing in office
Chisinau, 30 January /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today sent a congratulatory message to new Prime Minister of Romania Vasilica-Viorica Dancila on her swearing in office, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Pavel Filip wished his Romanian counterpart success in exercising her mandate. “I am sure that the experience you had as member of the European Parliament will bring a value added to the strategic partnership between Moldova and Romania as well,” reads the message by PM Pavel Filip.
At the same time, Prime Minister Pavel Filip thanked Romania for the support provided to modernizing Moldova. He noted that, during time, the Moldovan cabinet had made sure that Romania was and would always be the firmest and most disinterested backer of our European destiny. At the same time, Pavel Filip welcomed the Romanian government’s goal to boost the support provided to Moldova in its European integration.
“The two governments face more joint short- and medium-term objectives, with interconnection of the electricity and natural gas networks being among them. Such an interconnection will be able to bring Moldova closer to Romania, to the European Union, in general,” Pavel Filip said.
Also, PM Pavel Filip conveyed to Vasilica-Viorica Dancila an invitation to visit Moldova on the next period, in order to hold discussions on developing the political dialogue and the multidimensional cooperation between the two states.
