Moldovan PM has farewell meetings with ambassadors of Germany, Italy

Prime Minister Dorin Recean has had meetings with the German Ambassador Margret Maria Uebber and the Italian Ambassador Lorenzo Tomassoni, who ending their mandates in Moldova. The PM thanked the diplomats for their contribution to the development of friendship and cooperation relations between  Moldova and the two states.

Prime Minister Dorin Recean appreciated the efforts of Ambassador Margret Maria Uebber for deepening the Moldovan-German bilateral relations and the constant support provided by Germany to overcome the crises in recent years and advance the process of European integration. At the same time, the sides discussed the attractive environment provided by Moldova to investors, highlighting opportunities to attract new German investors to the country.

Additionally, the PM highlighted the role of Ambassador Lorenzo Tomassoni in strengthening the Moldovan-Italian strategic partnership, reviewing recent achievements: the ratification of the Social Security Agreement; signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation in the justice sector and the opening of the headquarters of the Italian Agency for Cooperation and Development in Chisinau.

“We have true friends in the EU member states and the support they provide us proves, once again, that Moldova can build strong institutions, create better living conditions and can become part of the European family by 2028,” said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
