Moldovan PM has discussions with citizens from central district
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu met citizens from the central Calarasi district at the Ion Ungureanu Community Center. The PM discussed the authorities' efforts in communities’ development and priorities related to infrastructure, the construction of water and sewage networks, as well as improving the quality of services provided to citizens.
Special attention was given to support for entrepreneurs in the region. The prime minister emphasized that investments in infrastructure were meant to create a friendly environment for the development of local businesses and generate new economic opportunities for the community.
‘’We know that people want more development opportunities, more accessible public services and more opportunities for the younger generation. It is important to maintain peace, stay united, and continue working, so that young people have everything they need to succeed here at home,’’ said Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu.
The possibility of extending the European Courtyard Programme, focused on the modernization of block courtyards and residential areas, to localities in the country was also discussed. The Programme, currently taking place in the municipality of Chisinau, involves repairing access roads, arranging parking lots, modernizing playgrounds and improving public lighting.
The discussions also highlighted the need for the rehabilitation of local roads, the renovation of historical monuments and improving connectivity with Romania and Ukraine.
Also, at the Ion Ungureanu Community Center, the prime minister talked with the young members of the dance ensemble 'Codrenii', who, under the guidance of artistic director Igor Filipciuc, have brought fame to Moldova at more international competitions.
