Prime Minister Dorin Recean visited two unique businesses in Ialoveni district - a sturgeon farm and a chocolate factory. The Prime Minister discussed with the entrepreneurs about the work, the local situation and expansion plans.

In the village of Ulmu, the Prime Minister visited an aquaculture business - a sturgeon farm, managed by Tudor Coșleț. He congratulated the entrepreneur for the unique niche he chose to set up a business, noting that since 2023, aquaculture benefits from subsidies amounting to 50% of the investment value.

The complex includes three halls for the ecological breeding of fish, their reproduction and processing. The total amount of sturgeons that can be raised at the farm is about 60 tons. Tudor Coșleț reported that so far, he has managed to obtain more than 20 kilograms of caviar and, according to estimates, in a few years, production will reach several hundred kilograms.

To achieve this goal, the entrepreneur plans to expand his business: he has installed solar panels to ensure the energy autonomy of the farm and wants to build another hall for growing fish. The businessman intends to export production to the European Union.

In Văsieni, the Prime Minister visited the chocolate factory Rifero, managed by Rotaru family. About 800 kg of candies are produced daily here, from natural ingredients, mostly purchased from local producers - fruits, seeds, honey.

Rifero products are marketed both domestically and abroad, each accounting for approximately 50%. The first export took place in 2015, and since then, the products have reached store shelves in Romania, Italy, Germany, the USA, Greece and the United Kingdom.

Ion Rotaru says the success of the company he leads is due to the involvement of all members of his family. The factory employs a total of 30 people, residents of the villages Văsieni and Ulmu.

The local businesses not only generate employment opportunities but also contribute significantly to strengthening the financial resources of public administrations for the development projects and improvement of services and infrastructure in localities.
