BTA: LIK Issue on Christo and Jeanne-Claude Goes on Show in Paris
The French edition of LIK magazine’s Christo and Jeanne-Claude at 90 in Eternity will be presented at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute (BCI) in Paris on Thursday. An evening dedicated to The Bulgarian Image of Christo will take place at the institute.
The event will also revisit interviews with Christo Javacheff-Christo by journalists Evgenia Atanasova-Teneva, Daniel Nenchev and Georgi Lozanov. Special guests will include Culture Minister Evtim Miloshev and Christo and Jeanne-Claude Foundation Director Vladimir Yavachev.
The issue of LIK magazine will be presented by Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) Director General Kiril Valchev, and BCI in Paris Director Desislava Bineva will host the event.
The event comes during the construction in Paris of the art installation La Caverne du Pont Neuf, The Cave of Pont Neuf, by French artist JR, which pays tribute to the work of Christo and Jeanne-Claude. It is also inspired by their project The Wrapped Pont Neuf, created in 1985.
LIK’s Christo and Jeanne-Claude at 90 in Eternity was published in three translated editions, in English, German and French. All issues are available free of charge on BTA's website.
