The Presidency of the Republic of Moldova

Today on Ukraine's Independence Day, President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu paid tribute to the courage of the Ukrainian people, who defend their right to freedom and sovereignty every day.

'By standing up to the barbaric aggression, Ukrainians prevent the spread of war, thereby protecting our peace and sovereignty,' the head of state emphasized.

The Republic of Moldova remains firmly alongside Ukraine and its citizens, who are fighting with own sacrifice for a free and peaceful future throughout Europe.
