Prime Ministers attended National Treasure Festival

Prime Minister Dorin Recean and his Romanian counterpart, Ilie Bolojan, attended the fifth edition of the National Treasure Festival, organized in the village of Horești, Ialoveni district. The event takes place over two days, August 23-24, and brings together traditions, folk craftsmen, and artists from across the country.

In his message to the participants, Recean said that the festival celebrates the values, traditions, and roots that unite the two peoples: 'The people know that we are on the right path – towards the European Union, alongside Romania. It is the only direction that guarantees us peace, prosperity, and a secure future at home for our children,' said Recean.

The National Treasure Festival offers a variety of activities, including markets with local products, folk costume parades, craft exhibitions, creative workshops, children's activities and competitions. Visitors can enjoy an artistic program with performances by ethnofolk ensembles, traditional choirs, and dance groups on stage.

Also today, the two Prime Ministers visited the village of Bardar and talked to people in the region.

'Romania is the best advocate we could have in building our path to accession. Our objective is Europe at home – we want all our citizens to return and live Europe here, in the Republic of Moldova,' Recean said.
