Prime Minister met with business community at economic council

Prime Minister Dorin Recean met with representatives of the business community during a plenary session of the Economic Council. The discussions focused on the current economic situation, the challenges faced by entrepreneurs and the directions for modernizing the Economic Council. 

During the meeting, the new Regulation for organizing and functioning of the Economic Council was presented, modernized to better address the current needs of the economy.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the government's goal remains ensuring sustainable economic growth, increasing productivity and competitiveness through coherent policies for the business environment. "We must strive to encourage investments and continue the debureaucratization and digitalization," he said.

He appreciated the Economic Council's contribution to promoting economic reforms, speeding up digitalization, developing green economy and supporting economic inclusion.

The Economic Council alongside the Prime Minister is a public-private dialogue platform, created in 2011 to address economic issues. Currently, the Council brings together 148 members, including 71 business associations and 49 public authorities.
