Moldovan president pays working visit to German lands of Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Hesse
President Maia Sandu pays working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, and Hesse, on 20-22 June.
During the visit, the president will meet high-ranking officials from local administrations, including Markus Söder, Minister-President of Bavaria, and Winfried Kretschmann, Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg. The discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral relations, expanding economic cooperation and support for the European way of Moldova.
Also during the visit, President Maia Sandu will receive the Franz Josef Strauß Award, provided by the Hanns-Seidel Foundation, in recognition of her ongoing efforts to defend the democracy in Moldova. The award value — 10,000 euros — will be donated for the conservation of the musical heritage of composer Eugen Doga.
Additionally, the head of state will meet members of the Moldovan communities in Frankfurt, Munich and Stuttgart.
