Moldovan PM discusses with Slovakia’s Defence Minister

The Government of the Republic of Moldova

The opportunities for developing bilateral cooperation in the defence field, the regional security situation, as well as Moldova’s European agenda have been discussed by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu with Slovakia’s Minister of Defence Robert Kaliňák.

The PM appreciated Slovakia’s support for the country’s European path and its openness to jointly strengthen European stability and security, noting that Moldova is not only a beneficiary, but also a part of this common effort.

“We have the responsibility to protect citizens and to offer them safety and confidence in the future. Moldova is not alone. We have partners and friends we can rely on,” said the prime minister.

For his part, Minister Robert Kaliňák reconfirmed his country’s full readiness to support Moldova on its path towards European integration, reiterating Slovakia’s commitment to strengthening the bilateral partnership through new initiatives in the fields of the defence industry, military education and scientific research.
