Moldovan president convenes meeting of National Security Council amid energy security concerns

President Maia Sandu is convening a meeting of the National Security Council (CNS) on May 26, at 14:00, in the context of concerns related to energy security and developments on international markets.

According to Moldova’s Presidency, the meeting’s agenda will focus on the country’s energy security in the conditions of global volatility of energy markets and regional tensions in the Middle East. The Council members will assess the impact of these developments on Moldova, as well as the measures implemented to protect citizens and the national economy.

The CNS meeting is convened, given that energy security stays one of the state’s strategic priorities, with an emphasis on identifying solutions to ensure the stability and continuity of energy supply.
