Moldovan head of state, president of Group of States against Corruption discuss justice reform, fight against corruption in Strasbourg

The Presidency of the Republic of Moldova

President Maia Sandu today in Strasbourg had a meeting today with David Meyer, President of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO).

GRECO is a body of the Council of Europe that monitors the prevention and combating of corruption in member states. Moldova has been a member since 2001 and is periodically evaluated.

The interlocutors discussed the implementation by the Moldovan authorities of reforms in the fields of justice, integrity and the fight against corruption. President Maia Sandu reiterated that they were fundamental priorities for the citizens of Moldova, including in the context of the process of accession to the European Union and the commitments to strengthen the rule of law.
