Two prosecutors pass evaluation in Moldova

The Prosecutors’ Evaluation Commission has completed the procedure for verifying the ethical and financial integrity of two prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office system. The Commission found out that both meet the criteria provided by the legislation in force and recommended that they pass the external evaluation.

According to the Evaluation Commission, the concerned prosecutors are Ina Frunza-Bargan, Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, and Inna Vihodet, prosecutor at the Cahul Prosecutor’s Office, Main Office, and former delegated prosecutor at the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, Southern Office.

Following the examination of the collected materials and the answers provided by the subjects, the Evaluation Panel B concluded that both prosecutors meet the ethical and financial integrity criteria set out in Article 11 of Law No. 252/2023.

Prosecutor Inna Vihodet chose not to participate in the public hearing, exercising her right provided by law.

According to procedures, the evaluation reports will become public after the expiry of the time limit for challenging the decisions of the Superior Council of Prosecutors, or within three days after the delivery of final decisions by the Supreme Court of Justice.
