Moldovan president participates in 2025 Olympiad Gala
President Maia Sandu today participated in the 2025 Olympiad Gala, where pupils from all over Moldova with high achievements in international and regional academic competitions, as well as the teachers who trained them were awarded.
The Olympic teams of Moldova got 45 prizes, including 2 gold medals, 12 silver medals, 16 bronze medals, 13 honorable mentions and 2 special prizes.
In her speech, the head of state emphasized that the students' achievements confirmed the power of hard work and discipline: “At the Olympiad Gala, we celebrated excellence – pupils who, through passion and hard work, have brought the flag and good reputation of Moldova to the highest academic competition podiums.”
President Maia Sandu expressed gratitude to the teachers and parents, highlighting their role in achieving performance: “We are grateful to you for your effort, for your rigor, and for choosing to invest in youth. And because, through your daily work, you directly contribute to the future of Moldova.”
