Moldovan Speaker discussed with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria about bilateral cooperation in education sector
Speaker Igor Grosu had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria Georg Georgiev.
The officials discussed bilateral cooperation in the education, in the context of the recent opening of a branch of Angel Kanchev University of Ruse, Bulgaria, in Taraclia. Thus, students and teachers in Taraclia will have access to EU-recognized diplomas, accredited programs and modern infrastructure.
The Bulgarian state will also invest one million euros in renovating the student dormitory as well as in modernized academic infrastructure: laboratories endowed with high-performance equipment, modern halls and sports fields. 'These projects will have a real impact both on the life of the Bulgarian community in Moldova, contributing to the strengthening of cultural identity and rapprochement to European values, and on the entire region with a European university in Taraclia,' Grosu said.
The opportunity to boost bilateral cooperation on the parliamentary dimension was also discussed, including by enhancing cooperation between friendship groups in the legislatures of the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Bulgaria.
