Moldova aligns with international restrictive measures against corruption and illegal finances
The Republic of Moldova aligns with the international restrictive measures set by the decision of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland against corruption and illegal finances. The decision, approved by the Interinstitutional Supervisory Council of the Republic of Moldova was published in the Official Journal today.
The document includes several individuals and legal entities subject to international restrictive measures. The individuals and entities targeted by sanctions are Natalia Parasca, Nelli Parutenko, Marina Tauber and Evrazia network.
Another decision by the Council sees blocking funds and economic resources that belong to, are owned, held, or controlled by private people and legal entities targeted by the restrictive measures.
In early April, the United Kingdom announced the sanctioning of entities and individuals allegedly responsible for election fraud in Moldova. The decision involves asset freezing and travel bans.
