Eurasia organization included in Registry of Extremist Organizations of Moldova
The autonomous non-commercial organization for the promotion of international cooperation Eurasia (“Евразия”) has been included in the Registry of Extremist Organizations and Extremist Materials of Moldova. The decision was taken after the Chisinau Court of Appeal, Centru seat, found that this organization was carrying out extremist activities, at the request of the Intelligence and Security Service (SIS).
According to SIS, on July 24, 2026, the Court of Appeal, Centru seat, upheld the institution’s request and declared the Eurasia organization an extremist organization. Based on the court ruling, the organization was entered into the Registry of Extremist Organizations and Extremist Materials.
SIS reminds that conducting, organizing or financing the activities of an extremist organization, participating in its activities, as well as distributing materials issued by it may entail criminal liability, in accordance with Articles 346¹ and 346² of the Criminal Code of Moldova.
In the context, the Intelligence and Security Service recommends that citizens of Moldova, including those abroad, avoid any form of cooperation with the Eurasia organization, refrain from participating in activities organized by it or with its participation and not distribute or promote materials produced or disseminated by the organization.
The Intelligence and Security Service specifies that it will continue to take the measures provided by law, in order to prevent and counter extremist activities.
The Eurasia organization is an entity registered in the Russian Federation, created in 2024, sanctioned by the European Union, the United States and the United Kingdom. According to international authorities, it has promoted Russian propaganda, including among minors, has been used to channel funds from Russia and from Ilan Shor to Moldova, has organized the transport of young Moldovans to Russia and has been involved in voter bribery schemes during the presidential elections and the referendum on European integration.
