Foreign Minister meets Latvian counterpart

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi is paying a working visit to Latvia. During this visit, the official had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Baiba Braže.

Popșoi emphasized that Latvia is a firm supporter of the European integration of the Republic of Moldova.

"Today, I am in the Republic of Latvia, a friendly country and a firm supporter of the European integration of the Republic of Moldova, where I had a warm and sincere discussion with Minister of Foreign Affairs Baiba Braže. We talked about Moldovan-Latvian cooperation, and I thanked for the constant support offered to our country in the process of European transformation," Popșoi said.

On May 19–20, the official is paying a working visit to the Republic of Latvia. The visit's program includes meetings with members of the Latvian Parliament (Saeima), including with representatives of the committees for foreign and European affairs, as well as with members of the Parliamentary Group for promoting cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. Additionally, the Moldovan official will have discussions with Minister of Transport of the Republic of Latvia Atis Švinka.
