Moldovan Association of Former Deportees backs Liberal Democrats at polls
Chisinau, 24 November /MOLDPRES/- The Association of Former Deportees and Political Detainee opts for continuing Moldova’s European integration and urges citizens to back the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) at the 30 November parliamentary elections.
The association’s members said PLDM “has capacity to ensure free, democratic and prosperous future in the European Union." “PLDM has proved by concrete actions of that it sincerely attached to Moldova’s European integration process, and its achievements in the last years represent proof that only PLDM can be locomotive of European integration,” the association’s declaration said.
The head of the above-mentioned association, Valentina Sturza, said the 30 November polls represented a historical chance to continue Moldova’s European integration. “We do not want in the Customs Union. We take into account the danger of a possible retaliation of evil forces, willing to keep Moldova in the sphere of influence of the former Soviet empire exponents. We mention inadmissibility that those who deported and humiliated true sons and daughters of this people, return to power”, Sturza said.
A former deportee, Nicolae Soitu, urged the Moldovan citizens to participate in polls and vote for continuing the country’s European integration.
