Strong support for Ukraine reaffirmed in Chisinau Parliament
The Republic of Moldova’s support for Ukraine was reaffirmed today in the plenary of Parliament, where Speaker Igor Grosu delivered a message of solidarity and condemned the war.
During the session, Igor Grosu welcomed the presence in Chisinau of the delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
“Republic of Moldova stands by Ukraine and we condemn, in the strongest terms, the Russian Federation’s war of aggression against Ukraine,” he said.
He also referred to the recent massive attack of 2 June, in which 22 people lost their lives and others were injured.
Igor Grosu expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian people for their courage and sacrifice, emphasizing that Ukraine’s resistance helps defend peace, security, and freedom throughout Europe, including the Republic of Moldova.
In conclusion, the official reiterated his message of support for Kyiv, stating that “Ukraine deserves a lasting peace.”
