Moldovan citizens can register online to vote abroad at parliamentary elections due in next autumn
Eligible voters willing to cast their ballots abroad at the parliamentary elections due on September 28, 2025, can register, starting from today, through the online application, Preliminary Registration, launched by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).
According to CEC, the registration will last till August 14, 2025, at 23:59:59 (Moldova’s time), observing the 45-day period before the election day.
To register, voters will access the page https://inregistrare.cec.md and fill in the required details.
According to the cited source, the purpose of preliminary registration is to estimate the number of Moldovans intending to vote abroad, which is a necessary criterion for establishing polling stations abroad.
CEC clarifies that those who have already registered for previous elections and have not changed their location abroad do not need to re-register. Differences from the figures of the 2024 presidential elections have already been adjusted.
At the same time, CEC says that the option of registration for the vote by correspondence will be available once the parliament of Moldova decides on the potential implementation of this alternative voting way for the parliamentary elections due in next autumn.
The parliamentary elections will take place on September 28, 2025.
