
Moldovan president congratulated Karol Nawrocki on victory in Polish presidential elections
President Maia Sandu congratulated Karol Nawrocki today on his victory in the Polish presidential elections.
The head of state expressed confidence in strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
"Moldova eagerly awaits to continue cooperation with Poland. We wish to collaborate to strengthen bilateral ties and advance on our country's European path," said Maia Sandu.
Right-wing candidate Karol Nawrocki defeated centrist Rafał Trzaskowski in runoff presidential elections on Sunday, getting 50.89% of the votes compared to 49.11%.
