Moldovan president has discussions Sweden's PM

President Maia Sandu today met Sweden's Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson. During the discussion, the head of state thanked the Swedish official for his country's consistent support for the democracy, security and development of Moldova.

‘’I was pleased to meet Sweden's Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson. I thanked him for Sweden's consistent support for the democracy, security and development of Moldova. We want to further strengthen our partnership for a stronger and more resilient Europe,’’ said Maia Sandu.

The head of state today is participating in the European People's Party Congress in Spain. On the sidelines of the event, the official had bilateral meetings with more European leaders, including Christian Stocker, Austria's Chancellor, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Greece's Prime Minister, Antonio Tajani, Italy's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Boyko Borissov, leader of the GERB party, which leads the ruling coalition in Bulgaria.

‘’In Spain, at the Congress of the European People's Party, I met many friends of Moldova who believe in and support our European future. We talked about projects that bring real changes to people's lives and how we protect peace and stability in the country and the region. With their support, Moldova moves forward confidently towards a better and safer future,’’ Maia Sandu emphasized.

In the discussions, Maia Sandu addressed important topics for the citizens of  Moldova, such as restoring peace in Europe, regional security, economic development, projects that bring concrete changes to the lives of Moldovans and advancement of the process of accession to the European Union.
