Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s parliament of the 11th legislative period was founded today. The MPs took a break till 29 July, immediately following the speeches by President of the Constitutional Court Domnica Manole and head of State Maia Sandu.
The proposal to take a break came from an MP of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Igor Grosu, and was criticized by lawmakers of the Party of Socialists (PSRM).
„Although the term is of ten days, we suggest on the next days to decide on the nominal composition of the parliamentary commissions and return to a meeting on 29 July at 10:00,’’ the acting PAS president, Igor Grosu, said.
Immediately after the announcement, the PSRM lawmakers demanded that the meeting continues and the election of the parliament’s leadership bodies; yet, the PAS MPs walked out of the session hall.
