The Moldovan head of state also had a meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

"Azerbaijan is a strong partner — in the field of energy and regional stability. We discussed deepening our bilateral relations and our common interest in peace and prosperity," Maia Sandu noted.

Also, on the sidelines of the event, Maia Sandu met President of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar. The discussion’s agenda included the topic of European integration.
