Speaker to pay official visit to Austria

Speaker Igor Grosu will pay an official visit to Austria at the invitation of his counterpart, President of the National Council of Austria Walter Rosenkrantz.

According to the Parliament’s Communication and Public Relations Department, in Vienna the Speaker will hold meetings with the leadership of the Austrian Legislature – the presidents of the two chambers, Walter Rosenkrantz and Markus Stotter – as well as with members of Austria–Republic of Moldova Parliamentary Friendship Group. The agenda of the discussions will include strengthening Moldovan–Austrian relations, deepening interparliamentary dialogue, and Austria’s support for the European path of the Republic of Moldova.

Igor Grosu will also meet with representatives of the Moldovan community living in Austria.

The visit's agenda additionally includes a visit to the Agricultural Vocational School in Krems and discussions with the leadership of IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences.

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Austria were established on 25 March 1992.
