Speaker’s Romanian Language Day message: We Have Managed to Do It Justice – Romanian language enshrined in Constitution
“We have managed to do it justice,” and today the Romanian language is enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova as the state language. Speaker Igor Grosu conveyed the message on the occasion of celebrating Romanian Language Day on August 31. He urged citizens to be proud of the language they speak and to cherish it every day.
“We have managed to do it justice, and today the Romanian language is enshrined in the Constitution as the state language. Let us be proud of our language and, most importantly, let us cherish it every day,” Igor Grosu said.
The Speaker praised the Great National Dictation, which he described as “a beautiful tribute to the Romanian language.”
Grosu highlighted that from year to year more and more people take part in the event.
“Language lives through us. Through the way we speak it, write it, read it, and pass it on to our children,” he said.
On Romanian Language Day, Igor Grosu extended his congratulations to all citizens: “Happy Romanian Language Day!”
The Great National Dictation took place today in the center of the capital, in the Great National Assembly Square. Now at its fourth edition, the event brought together over 3,000 participants from Chișinău and from across the country.
