Director of Ruse University's branch from Taraclia, ARBOM head meets President of Bulgaria
Executive Director of the Association for the Development of the Bulgarian Community (ARBOM) Alexandr Borimecicov, who is also the administrative director of the Taraclia branch of the Angel Kanchev University of Ruse, has had a meeting with President of Bulgaria Iliana Iotova. The discussion was also attended by Gheorghi Barbarov, President of the Community of Bulgarians of Moldova (BORM).
Iliana Iotova highlighted the educational process at the Ruse University’s branch in the city of Taraclia, where the Bulgarian community of Moldova is concentrated. The branch officially opened its doors last year and interest in it is high. The educational institution currently trains 175 bachelor’s students, 41 master’s students and three PhD candidates.
Alexandr Borimecicov presented the project on the renovation of the student dormitory. The Bulgarian president noted that, in addition to opening new specializations that attract students, the next efforts should be directed towards partnerships with the business community for joint educational programmes. Iliana Iotova also emphasized the importance of the active role of the Bulgarian community in the education of Bulgarian school-age children.
