
As many as 476 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours
Chisinau, 12 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,026 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 476 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 150,138 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 30 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –13, medical assistants –9 and auxiliary staff employees –8.
A number of 2,492 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 220 are in extremely serious condition (44 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).
Another 562 people have been treated. As many as 139,427 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
In the context, 4,466 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 20,617 are under supervision at the domicile.
At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 20 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,176 people have died of coronavirus in all. The virus killed a dentist and a laboratory assistant. Sixty seven medical employees have died because of the COVID-19 infection till present.
