BNM governor urges Moldovan citizens residing in USA to contribute to modernization of Moldova

European integration is a large-scale project, and every Moldovan citizen can be part of this construction. Governor of the National Bank of Moldova Anca Dragu made the statement during a meeting with Moldovans residing in the USA. The discussion took place in Washington, where the governor participated in the presentation of the 'Regional Economic Outlook' report, organized by the International Monetary Fund.

Anca Dragu encouraged her compatriots to trust the Republic of Moldova and to contribute to the modernization of the country with their experience gained abroad.

'European integration is a large-scale project, and every Moldovan citizen, no matter where they are, can be part of this construction. It's time for all the departed to feel that their country is evolving, modernizing, and offering them real reasons for trust and return. Those who work and live abroad can return home with experience, ideas, and investments that will contribute to the modernization of Moldova,' stated Anca Dragu.

The discussions focused on the economic developments of the Republic of Moldova, the stability of the banking sector, and the country's accession to the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), elements considered essential for attracting investments and strengthening citizens' confidence in the national economy.

The dialogue also included BNM First Deputy Governor Petru Rotaru and Ion Gumene, State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, members of the Moldovan delegation at the Annual Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank.

The event was organized by Vlad Kulminski, Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the USA, with the aim of promoting Moldova's image as an open, modern, and connected country with its diaspora citizens.

In Washington, Anca Dragu participated in the presentation of the 'Regional Economic Outlook' report, organized by the International Monetary Fund. In her intervention, Dragu mentioned that the Republic of Moldova managed to maintain financial stability, reduce inflation, and continue the necessary reforms for integration into the European market in a volatile global context.
